Hello! This time i’m bringing you the Animal Crossing New Horizons Book Tag, created by twobookthieves. I really liked this so i’m jumping on the train!
A little note before starting: Just today I made a new initiative (based on similar ones i’ve seen on the web) called Latinx Book Blogger Directory. It’s meant to put the community together and support each other a little more! You if you’re Latinx and have a book blog, please consider stopping by.
Without further ado, let’s start with the tag!
- Past Villager – Who is a character you found when you were younger that still has a place in your heart?
Ariel from The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen. While I didn’t read this book as a child I watched the movie literally almost every day, I was obsessed with it. I still remember it and smile. It might not be the best fairytale but I liked this one the most when I was a little girl.
- Blather’s Blatherings – Recommend a historical fiction book that you think everybody should read
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak! I’d say that this is one of those books that leaves a mark on you. You can never quite recover from what it happens in it. As you probably already know, it follows the life of a little girl during the WWII as she discovers her love of words and reading, but also the sad and hard reality she lives in. You need to read this at least once in your lifetime.
- Celeste’s Wish – What is a future book release you wish you could read now?
The Invisible Life of Addie Larue! This is probably my most anticipated read of the year now. I’ve read V.E Schwab’s work before and I think it’s absolutely brilliant, and the premise of this book is just WOW. I can’t wait to read it!
- Timmy & Tommy – What is your favourite sibling relationship in a book?
Fred and George Weasley from Harry Potter. Who doesn’t love these two? If there was a strong bond in the HP series, this was it. They were always there for each other (until they weren’t… but we’re not thinking sad things today). Thinking of them and the mischiefs they made still makes me smile.
- The Easter Bunny –A popular book character that you’re not a big fan of
Patch from Hush Hush series – Everyone seemed to love these books way back, but they seemed a little to cheesy for me. I wasn’t mesmerized by Patch as the whole internet apparently was, he’s kinda cliché.
- Nook’s Loans – An author you’d give all your money to
Sarah J. Maas. JUST TAKE ALL MY COINS, WOMAN.
- The Sisters Able – What is your favourite fictional family (found or otherwise)?
Everyone is saying the Weasleys and I agree. Who doesn’t love them? They even accepted Harry as one of their own and were always there for him. But… I also want to mention the Inner Circle from ACOTAR series. They were all broken people that found solace in their union, and have such a strong connection that even reflects upon the battles they go into. All of them are just perfect.
- It’s a C+ – What is a book trope you don’t like that keeps popping up?
Instalove. It doesn’t make sense, okay? I think I don’t even need to explain it. I actually detected a little instalove from Connor and Rose from the Addicted series (they did knew each other from a couple years back, but they hated each other’s guts and then… they didn’t? Without a motive or development? Still love them, though).
- The Wandering Camel – What is your favourite book set in a land far away from yours?
Bone Crier’s Moon by Kathryn Purdie – The fictional land of Dovre is inspired by France, which is really far away from me (sadly).
- What Would Dodos Do? – A fictional land you wish you could fly away to at any moment?
Velaris from ACOTAR series. This is where the dreams come true, the happiest place in this book’s world and definitely one I’d like to visit (if I could see Rhysand while i’m at it, better)
Those were all the questions! What are your thoughts on my answers? Do you agree on some of them? Let me know in the comments!

I didn’t know it was created by twobookthieves – glad to find out and finally be able to credit them in my ACNH post! ❤ I also thought of Fred and George – it's near impossible to think of another pair of siblings, I think!

Exactly! They have to be the best siblings in the bookish universe.

This is such a fun tag! I totally know what you mean about The Book Thief, it’s one of the only books I’ve ever reread and it gets better every time! It’s a definite long-time favorite book.

This tag is so cute – I haven’t been able to pick up Animal Crossing but living vicariously through everyone online. I love the Weasley family and I would do anything to visit Velaris right now 💕

I totally agree with you, it seems like such a fun game, sadly I haven’t had the chance to play it yet. I’m homesick of Velaris and it doesn’t even exist 😦

I own two copies of The Book Thief but still haven’t got around to reading it. It’s frustrating because I know I’ll love it too!
